What is the best scrubbing tool for exfoliation?

My legs are very dry. Every day I use a moisturizer and Vaseline over the entire area. However, when I go to scrub the inside area, it turns red and itchy.


I use Axe body wash (hydrating kind) and a scrubbing sponge.

Yikes. Sounds to me that maybe the Axe body wash might be irritating your skin. You shouldn't really be exfoliating your legs that often. Try to do it once to twice a week. I believe that Axe products has perfume in it and when scrubbing your skin with a scrubbing tool all it is going to do is irritate your hair follicles. And also perfume dries out your skin. Maybe you should switch to a non scented or a antibacterial body wash. It would help with the itch and the redness as well as the dryness. As for the scrubbing tool.. Use something like body scrub that comes in a container. It may smell fruity or too girly or whatever but just try it. Or you can always make your own home remedy. You can try mixing sugar with oats, and with honey to get your own kind of body scrub. It works fine. Just make sure to use more sugar than the oats and use as much honey as needed. And it does make a mess so make sure you are in the tub or somewhere you can hose yourself down. And as for the vaseline, try using a non-scented vaseline lotion. I know this sounds dumb but go to pet smart or wall mart and get a aquarium scrubber .It has a long handle and the scrubber part is about 4 inches square I have used them for years for a back scrub.The scrunner is kinda like a pot scrubber.Really if you try it,you will be surprised at the results
there are lots of soaps that have exfoliating beads, but by far the best I've ever found is a cloth that's knitted and half cotton/half hemp.

To ex-foliate/natural scrub:


Add a little water to oats powder and rub.


A paste of green gram powder is also good





Apply a little oil before applying this.
